NTIA Approval of Initial Proposals

“Congratulations to the teams in Utah, Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We look forward to working with you all to ensure everyone in your state and territories is connected.” -U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo

🎉 It’s official! 🎉
The NTIA has approved our Initial Proposal for the BEAD program, which means we can now request over $80 million to bring affordable, reliable, high-speed Internet to everyone in the Northern Mariana Islands. While we don’t have the funds in hand yet, this approval is a major milestone that allows us to begin implementation. We are now moving from planning to action! 💪📶

We are incredibly thankful for all our stakeholders, territorial and state broadband offices, the NTIA, and all other federal partners for their unwavering support, guidance, and hard work! Together, we are building a more connected, resilient, and prosperous CNMI! 🌐🌴
