Juan Carlos Calvo, a participant in the Governor’s Broadband Bootcamp on Saipan, spliced fiber optic cable as part of the participants’ final exam on Thursday. Conducted in partnership with the CNMI Broadband Policy and Development Office, Northern Marianas College’s Community Development Institute, Northern Marianas Technical Institute, Island Training Solutions, and the CNMI Department of Labor Workforce Investment Agency, the bootcamp is an accelerated workforce development program designed to equip participants with the technical expertise and professional skills needed for success in the fiber optic network deployment industry.
